Scryfall is built using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL. Our frontend is all custom CSS and Vue.js components. We use Sequel as our database adapter.

For hosting, we use Heroku and Cloudflare.

Card images are processed with Shrine and ImageMagick. Our image and data files are stored on Cloudflare R2.

Scryfall Discord bots are built with Discord.js and relay information with our API server.
