When Scryfall performs maintenance on our database, we put the site in read-only mode.

You will be unable to make changes to your account and sign-in and sign-out of Scryfall during read-only mode.
You will not be able to make changes to any of your decks or add/remove cards while Scryfall is in read-only mode
You may encounter site slowness or temporary error pages during read-only mode

Site search and the API should remain available during read-only mode maintenance, and most maintenance periods should not last more than two hours.

We publish updates about maintenance on our Twitter account and Discord channels.
