Vor dem Kami-Krieg waren die Shishi symbolische Wächter, die die Schreine dort, wo sie standen, bewachten. Doch als sich die Kami der materiellen Welt zuwandten, fingen auch die Shishi an, sich von ihren Sockeln auf Möchtegern-Bittsteller zu stürzen.
