← Scryfall FAQs / General How do Scryfall sign-in emails work?

Scryfall doesn’t use passwords. We think they’re hard to remember and manage properly. In short: they suck.

Every time you sign in to Scryfall, we send a one-time link to your email address. This link expires after you use it, and you can delete the sign-in email when you’re done.

Scryfall keeps you signed-in to the site for a very long time, so you should only need to use email to sign-in like this very sparingly.

If your account has been locked:

  1. Please delete any sign-in emails you have from Scryfall.
  2. Wait one hour.
  3. Your account will unlock, and you can try to sign in again at scryfall.com/signin with a fresh email

If you tried to register, but couldn’t confirm your email:

  1. Please delete any sign-in emails you have from Scryfall.
  2. Wait one hour.
  3. We will clear away your failed registration, and you can try to register again at scryfall.com/register

If you want something more than just email:

If you’d like to make your Scryfall account more secure, you can set up two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or device verification) in your security settings
